Saskatchewan stained glass holds many surprises.  As well as in cathedrals,  churches,  convents and chapels,  we found interesting windows in armouries,  legion halls,  a casino,  restaurants,  colleges,  performance halls and museums.  Many more  Saskatchewan towns and buildings  remain to be documented.

Please tell us more about  your building and its windows: glasscanada@gmail.com

In this spacious western province (population about one million) we have identified work by these  artists and studios:  Rault Brothers, Rennes, (Britanny) France; Celtic Studios, Swansea, Wales;  A.L. Moore and Son,  London and other English studios;  Rambusch,  New York ; Luxfer Prism,  N.T. Lyon,  Hobbs, Meikle,  and the Robert  McCausland Company (founded 1856  and still operating),  all of Toronto;   Guido Nincheri,  J. P. O’Shea,  and Hobbs,  all of Montreal;   Westmacott and the architect Etienne Gaboury, of  Winnipeg.   Saskatchewan artists working in stained glass include David Johnson, Sister Salesia Zunti OSE, the Benedictine Alfred Engele OSB,  Lee Brady,  Wilf Perreault,  Ed Schaeffer,  Dorothy Doepker, Wally Oucharek, and others.

The makers of many interesting windows remain to be identified.
